Develop quality professional experience

The Eating Disorder Foundation takes roughly 15 practicum students at the Master’s level annually to join our team of volunteer facilitators.  Involvement includes leading support groups for individuals and families who struggle with eating disorders, disordered eating and body image concerns. We are now accepting applications for summer 2024.

How do I apply?

I’ll be forever grateful that I had the opportunity to complete my practicum at the Eating Disorder Foundation. Not only did EDF provide me with supportive supervision, ample group experience, and a broad understanding of the eating disorder field, I was also able to practice other professional and therapeutic skills at EDF’s many community events and educational offerings. This organization has my heart, and I’m proud to say that EDF influenced the therapist I am today.

I found myself humbled each time I walked in the door– by the vast experience and undeniable courage of those seeking support. The experience here was the practical learning I had been yearning for, but also instruction for the soul.
