Garden Workshop – VIRTUAL: “Finding Sanctuary in Nature”
August 20th
5:00PM – 6:00PM MT
Sign up for our Virtual Mindful Gardening Workshop! Join Kate Daigle MA, LPC, CEDS for a fun and nourishing workshop practicing the concepts of mindfulness while receiving many gifts from the garden. There is no prior gardening or mindfulness experience required to reap the rewards of this workshop.
We’ll explore nature as an avenue for healing, mindfulness, and solace in strange times – however it’s available to you. Activities will include a small “scavenger hunt” starting before the workshop, guided meditation, and discussion!
Kate Daigle is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified Eating Disorder Specialist who has been in private practice in Denver since 2010. She is passionate about helping women and men find peaceful and fulfilling relationships with food, their bodies and themselves and works frequently with clients who feel bogged down by anxiety and perfectionism. Having recovered from an eating disorder herself, she has a special connection to those struggling with these issues and uses body-centered approaches, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and other effective therapeutic techniques to help them find healing. Kate loves gardening and has facilitated mindful gardening workshops for the past six years. Participants find this workshop to be peaceful, fun, and enjoy connecting with themselves and others while harvesting gifts from the garden! Kate is very excited to facilitate this special workshop for EDF.
