Monthly COPro Case Conversations
3rd Friday of every month from 9:00 -10:00am

We invite you to bring questions and ideas in an effort to help all of us be strong clinicians. Case conversations can provide opportunities to adhere to evidence-based practices, tailor treatment approaches, navigate difficult issues, and facilitate self-awareness.
If you are on the path to becoming a CEDS, group supervision hours will be available. Each COPro Case Conversations gathering will be guided by a CEDS Approved Consultant.

Eating disorders can be deadly. Helping clients get into the right level of care can literally save a client’s life. This 1 credit hour presentation, we will outline how to identify medical and behavioral warning signs that your client may need a higher level of care, review levels of care in eating disorder treatment, discuss how to access care and what to do when you have a client who is resistant to getting the care they need.
About the presenter: Dr. Kamila Cass is a Clinical Psychologist at the ACUTE Center for Eating Disorders at Denver Health, providing psychodiagnostic assessment, individual and group psychotherapy, and crisis intervention services to individuals with severe eating and feeding disorders.
Dr. Kamila Cass is a Clinical Psychologist at the ACUTE Center for Eating Disorders at Denver Health, providing psychodiagnostic assessment, individual and group psychotherapy, and crisis intervention services to individuals with severe eating and feeding disorders. Dr. Cass helps patients at ACUTE tolerate the demands of hospitalization and feel a sense of hope and motivation for recovery. Dr. Cass has worked in the field for many years, providing a range of eating disorder services, including specialty eating disorder treatment on college campuses, eating disorder treatment in private practice, and inpatient services. Dr. Cass helped design the behavioral health program of a bariatric surgery unit, educating the staff about eating disorders, and has conducted over 400 pre-surgical psychological evaluations for bariatric surgery. Dr. Cass is a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist, and has developed Continuing Education courses on eating disorders for the New Mexico Psychological Association. She is active in research and publishing and has presented her research on pro-anorexia websites at international eating disorder conferences. She values integrating the latest evidence-based treatments and knowledge about eating disorders into her clinical practice. Dr. Cass earned her master’s and PhD in clinical psychology from the University of Missouri, completing her pre-doctoral internship at the University of Colorado Boulder.
