As nature begins its annual process of renewal, there's no better time to renew your commitment
to recovery from an eating disorder or to take the first steps on that fulfilling journey. This Spring,
we're offering classes and workshops designed to help you heal,
grow and learn. Registration is required.

Learn to use your body through dance as you explore how to create meaning in your life.
Facilitator: Tracy Goldenberg, MA, R-DMT, Somatic Psychotherapist, Registered Dance/Movement Therapist and Mind/Body Educator
Nia is a sensory-based movement technique that combines dance, yoga, and martial arts. It
empowers people of all shapes and sizes by connecting the body, mind, emotions and
spirit. Nia is intentionally crafted to guide participants to discover, explore, unleash, and
enhance their individual potential to live a fulfilling and meaningful life - by engaging their
senses and listening to their bodies.
Dogs Can Heal
Fridays May 11 - Jun 1

4 week class @ $10 per week = $40
Let the intuition and compassion of man’s best friend help you tap into your inner emotions. These
dogs are trained to support, comfort and help mend our tender hearts.
Facilitator: Carolyn Corbett, Founder and Executive Director of K9 c.a.r.e.s.
K9 c.a.r.e.s. is a Colorado non-profit therapy dog organization with some of the highest
gold standards of excellence. K9 c.a.r.e.s. is very proud to announce its collaboration
with The Eating Disorder Foundation. As a modality for healing, this class generates
conversation through the use of an experienced therapy dog/handler team. Dogs
are often better at picking up on emotion, stress and anxiety better than anyone. They
are supportive, non-judgmental, unconditional and they help heal hearts.
Spring 2012 Workshops
Eat Like a Yogi: Awareness, Gratitude, Mindfulness
Saturday May 26
2:00 - 4:00pm
One 2 hour workshop = $10
Learn to access and listen to your body’s cues to create a more mindful and satisfying eating experience.
Facilitator: Elizabeth Di Biase, RD, Certified Wellness Coach, Certified Weight Management Counselor
Eat Like a Yogi teaches how to be mindful of, and grateful for, the foods we choose to eat and
our body’s desire for balance through its hunger and fullness cues. This class will discuss
Elizabeth’s “Real Food Philosophy” of choosing a variety of whole foods based on what
our bodies need. Participants will learn to be more aware of how and when they eat so
that the act of eating is satisfying, how they can assess their own hunger and fullness
cues and how to engage all their sense when eating. This class will also include breathing
and journaling exercises.

Yoga
First Fridays, starting Jun 1

$10 per class
This class is ideal for someone who seeks spiritual growth via body/breath reconnection, relaxation and balance.
Facilitator: Maureen Czepiel, RN, RYT, LMT
Gentle yoga for everyone. Start your weekend with a relaxing, rejuvenating yoga class. No experience
necessary, appropriate for all levels of fitness. Please bring an open mind and wear clothing that is easy
to move in. Mats are available at the center. Classes will include easy poses, breathing and a short
meditation.

This support group is ideal for women 35 years and older that are struggling or in recovery from an eating disorder.
