For the last 9 years of the 15 years I have been in the mental health profession,
I have been working with those struggling with eating disorders in a variety of clinical
settings. My experience has cemented my belief that in spite of the multiple difficulties
that an eating disorder brings recovery can be chosen and achieved. I offer individualized
outpatient services in southwest Denver.
We all are searching for healing and health every day. In my therapeutic
approach, I meet each client with openness, curiosity and hope, and take the
responsibility to help my clients take steps towards realizing their goals. I
understand the difficulty and turmoil that can come along with the recovery
process from an eating disorder, and will hold the space for you to follow
your path in the way that is best for you. I believe that everyone can
recover from an eating disorder and utilize strength-based and mindful
techniques as we work together to help you recover and rediscover the
uniqueness and power that lies within you.
I find family work essential in eating disorder recovery and will support
you and your loved ones on this journey. I use body and breathing-centered
work, psychodynamic work, narrative therapy, motivational interviewing,
DBT, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) among other types of
appropriate treatment. I value the therapeutic relationship and make
every effort to listen to your story and give you the space and time you
need to feel healthier and happier. I am a very empathic, caring, and
relatable counselor and look forward to working with you in this process! I
am an out-of-network provider with insurance. Please visit my website for
